Job Title: International Sales Manager – Commercial Audio

Overview
Tannoy Limited has an 82 year pedigree in the loudspeaker industry and is a leader in the commercial audio market. An opportunity has emerged at Tannoy for an experienced sales manager to take charge of the Sales Team. Ideally based at our headquarters in Scotland, the successful candidate will have extensive experience with a proven track record in the audio industry, and be prepared to travel extensively to the major world markets. The role demands sound leadership and motivational skills, in managing a sales team selling class-leading products through well established distribution channels, in addition to contributing towards the future sales and marketing strategy of the business.

Core Function
To plan and implement sales activities in the audio installation market in line with the company strategy to meet company targets for sales, growth, and profitability, and as a member of the management team, to contribute to the management of the company.

Responsibilities
The International Sales Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Hit agreed Tannoy UK sales targets for revenue and margin.
  • Plan and implement all sales and distribution policies.
  • Prepare the annual sales budget.
  • Plan and manage resources according to agreed budgets.
  • Plan and implement sales strategy in line with the overall company strategy. Also to contribute to further refinement and development of the company strategy as required by changing circumstances and opportunities.
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company policies.
  • Maintain and develop and continuously improve the current administration and planning processes to maximise the efficiency of the department.
  • Provide relevant reporting of management and financial information for sales via KPI measurements monthly.
  • Report on departmental longer term strategic issues, opportunities, achievements, and development plans quarterly.
  • Manage some agreed key distribution territories directly.
  • Work closely with Marketing on product launch planning and execution, and provide support and input as required. Take ownership for the sales inputs and responsibilities associated with product launches.
  • Take ownership for the sales inputs to the product development process.
  • Work with other TC Group companies as required.
  • As a key member of the senior management team attend management meetings and support other colleagues and promote team spirit.
  • Other management tasks that may be required from time to time to ensure the Tannoy’s sales goals and targets are achieved.

Job Title: Western Regional Sales Manager, MI & Recording

Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is the heart of the company’s North American sales presence in each market. The sales manager works very closely with the leadership of TCGA and its distributed brand partners (TC Electronic, TC-Helicon, Tannoy and Dynaudio) in developing and executing the US marketing strategy for the products in the MI and Recording category in his/her region. This position has direct responsibility for the monthly sales goals and managing the rep force in achieving those sales goals in the given region. You also will handle any of the key accounts that reside in your territory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and driving the MI/Recording market segment.
  • Responsible for achieving sales goals in the Mi/Recording market segment.
  • Responsible for managing sales reps activities in this market segment.
  • Forecast manufacturing needs of market segment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in market, including direct responsibility for Guitar Center, Amazon.com and Musician’s Friend accounts.
  • Develop and implement product training programs for reps, dealers and high profile users. This may include public event/clinics where market appropriate.
  • Work with marketing communication managers in developing and maintaining the co-op advertising, regional trade show and other promotion plans for product group.
  • In conjunction with marketing, gather data and suggest products and promotions that will penetrate the market, gain market share and increase sales.
  • Work with other regional/s and segment leadership in coming up with proper strategies and tactics to achieve all sales goals, including specials, promotions, focus etc.

Skills and experience required:

  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in the MI/Recording market.
  • Must have extensive sales experience and therefore ‘hit the ground running’.
  • Must have good knowledge of the technology and competitive product offerings.
  • Must have great communication skills and be able to present in front of small to medium size groups.
  • Strong knowledge of business computing such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Have great time management and organizational skills and be self motivated to “run the business”.
  • Willing to travel from 1/3 to 2/3 of any given month/quarter.
  • And most importantly, a smile on your face and a great attitude!.
